BEIJING (AP) China has sentenced two Inner Mongolian activists to long prison terms on charges of spying and promoting separatism, Amnesty International announced Wednesday.

The two, identified as Hada, and Tegexi, were sentenced Dec. 6, Amnesty International said. The organization added both man have long tried to reacefully promote Mongolian culture in the northern Chinese province.

Many ethnic Mongolians use just one name. Hada, a 40-year-old manager and a member of a group called the Southern Mongolian Democracy Alliance, was sentenced 15 years imprisonment, Amnesty International said. He was detained Dec. 10 last year, according to an earlier Amnesty

International report.

Tegexi, also a member of the group, was taken in custody Dec. 30 last year in connection with a demostration and received a 10-year prison sentence, the group added.
